If you want to eat something you better not go to this place!Rude and incompetent service, the boss of this let's call it "inn" is no better than his inept crew.Unfortunately, no 0 stars go!So someone should go out for a meal in the Spittal, please wide arc.You are better off with a snack stand!

The restaurant is very nice but it is decidedly bad considering the average quality of restaurants in Carinthia and Tyrol.The ordered ravioli were industrial and the main courses lacked the typical taste and passion of the area.The service then is haughty and pompous not even considering the poor quality of the restaurant. They were a Michelin guide in 2008, well just a distant memory.To never again.

If you are looking for a special experience for the palate, this is the place for you. The small map is manageable, but offers the essentials and that on a very high level. It tastes good, here is a master of his craft at work. The quality of the food is the service. Highly focused and very attentive the service of the guests. A true pearl here in Upper Carinthia!

Best restaurant in the region. Outstanding kitchen - no wonder they got a Star rating from Michelin - great service and incredible value for money given their quality.

On my Alpe-Adria bike ride I stayed in Spittal an der Drau and had dinner at the restaurant Mettnitzer - the excellent reviews are right - the tomato cream soup (4,90 Euro) and the fried potatoes with vegetables and spinach (12,00 Euro) tasted great.Here you can see immediately - absolute fresh produce. In this great restaurant certainly no industrially prefabricated "finished garbage" on the table of the house. In this restaurant with the friendly service staff you can safely return and dine royally.

If you really want to eat well, then definitely to the Mettnitzer! Always consistently good quality of the food, great ambience and nice service. By the way, the grilled scallops are very recommendable, they taste excellent, and even better than in Italy.

The Restaurant Mettnitzer more than lives up to its reputation as the best restaurant in the Greater Spittal area. Both the cozy ambience inside and outside in the garden is terrific. The staff are incredibly friendly and more than the service you find in very few other restaurants you can not ask for. Furthermore, the menus offered, among other things by an unbeatable price-performance ratio in terms of taste absolutely every wish.

Very pleasant atmosphere and delicious. A star deduction, because the main course was a bit too little for me. Dessert but great again!

High quality - friendly staff - price performance is right! A place that you would be happy to recommend and the ambience is unique anyway. Has fixed dishes but also always changing alternatives. Always a real treat - staff competent and very very friendly. A fixed point for me when I am in Spittal.

Passing through Spittal, we had lunch here three times, and we always had a great time..the place is particular, the food very good and well presented, the service impeccable, recommended.

Very nice atmosphere, food was great for connoisseurs less for mega eater.

Aside from the styling venues, this is a restaurant where you feel like you're in a castle. Already at the entrance, warmly received by the friendly waiter and with eye contact and accompanied to the table. Eating great. Service excellent and not pushy. For me the best restaurant in the Greater Spittal an der Drau. Down to earth regional cuisine prepared with imagination and attention to detail, everything always fresh. Man and feel well, and eat and enjoy in a beautiful, historic setting. There is always a good and inexpensive lunch offer.

I'm not there very often but when I get there it's always an experience, totally 'old fashioned' service and the food is in a class of its own, I LOVE the apple pie !!!

Great restaurant with nice service

Incredibly nice to sit in the garden and to take an extraordinary very very delicious food with a drink.The Zwiebelrostbraten highly recommended, the salad with beef strips, the meat juicy fried and well seasoned also highly recommended. The staff very friendly. Always with body and soul at work. The price absolutely accommodating with the quality of the food.It pleases the palate very much.In any case, another visit is needed.
